Houston Dental Office remains open for dental services during the Provincial lockdown. We continue to prioritize the safety of our patients and staff while following the guidelines of the Dental College and Ministry of Health.
When we see you at your next appointment, you will notice some changes. Plexiglass barriers have been installed around the reception desk, and treatment rooms previously having open concept, were upgraded with the addition of plexiglass walls, and sliding door barriers, so as to be fully enclosed. In addition to these changes, Quatro HEPA filter air purifying machines were purchased for use in treatment rooms.
You will also notice heightened ppe with our staff, wearing glasses, faceshields and gowns in addition to our masks.
For your appointment, you will need to bring your own mask, and call us when you arrive in the parking lot. We will let you know if its OK at the present time to come to the entrance door, or if you will need to wait in your car until we call you, to be let in. It is therefore important that we have your cell phone on file.
We will ask you some Covid-19 screening questions before your appointment, and you’ll be asked those same questions again when you enter the office. You will be required to use hand sanitizer, and we will take your temperature with an infrared non-contact thermometer in the reception area. After your Covid-19 Screening and Treatment Consent Form has been signed, you will be escorted to your treatment room where you may remove your mask.
You will be asked to use an antiviral/antibacterial pre- rinse before treatment begins.
At the completion of your treatment, you will need to put your mask back on, collect personal belongings like keys, phone, wallets, and lastly alcohol your hands again prior to exiting the treatment room. Please avoid any contact of your mask in the office, other than in the treatment room to remove it and replace it.
Appointments will be spaced out to allow for physical distancing in between patients, and will mean less flexibility for scheduling your appointments. We are also making every effort to maintain 1-2 people at a time in our reception area, while observing proper social distancing, and ask that you keep your checkout time to a minimum to reduce possible wait times for the next patient.
Please also be aware that we are striving to avoid accepting cash or cheques, as payments can be made with credit or debit cards.
