Life has been anything but normal this spring and we sincerely hope you and your family are in good health. We are happy to inform you that the Ministry of Health has lifted the restrictions on dental offices, and we are now able to once again provide dental care for you and your family. Although many things have changed since then, one thing has remained the same, Our commitment to your health and safety.
Our office has always followed strict infection control standards of Public Health and the Dental College. In order to keep us all protected during this pandemic and in the future, we have updated our protocols. When we see you at your next appointment, some things will be a little different.
You will need to bring your own mask, and call us when you arrive in the parking lot. We will let you know if its OK at the present time to come to the entrance door, or if you will need to wait in your car until we call you, to be let in. It is therefore important that we have your cell phone on file.
We will ask you some screening questions before your appointment, and you’ll be asked those same questions again when you enter the office.
You will need to use hand sanitizer before we take your temperature with an infrared non-contact thermometer, and after your Covid-19 Screening and Treatment Consent Form has been signed, you will be escorted to your treatment room.
Your mask will be removed for your treatment, and at the end of your appointment, you will need to put your mask back on, alcohol your hands again, and exit the treatment room with a staff member. Please also be aware that we are striving to be as paperless as possible, and no longer accepting cash or cheques. Payments can now only be made with credit or debit cards.
Appointments will be spaced out to allow for physical distancing in between patients. That will mean less flexibility for scheduling your appointments, and will also reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time. We are making every effort to maintain 1 person at a time in our reception area and ask that you be on time for your appointment, as well as keep your checkout time to a minimum to reduce wait times for the next patient. Future appointments are to be made by telephone. Rest assured, all these procedures are designed to create the safest environment for you, other patients and our team. Please be patient with the appointment times we have available for you, as we have close to 3 months of appointments to rebook, as well as working under new guidelines that require increased wait times between appointments.
We look forward to seeing you again, and thank you for your patience and loyalty throughout this ordeal. We value your trust and look forward to welcoming you back!
