Temporomandibular Joint

TMJ also known as Temporomandibular joint is a joint and muscle disorder that can cause a lot of pain, discomfort and impairment around the area in the jaw as well as the muscles and joints responsible for controlling the jaw movement.

Symptoms are very distinguishable and can affect individuals differently. Clicking and popping sounds coming from the jaw are clear indications of TMJ symptoms. Other symptoms such as headaches, ringing and pain in the ears, neck pain and blurred vision are also TMJ symptoms.

TMJ symptoms are difficult to diagnose mainly because they are very similar to other conditions. Pain in the jaw, locked jaw, aches in the ear, ringing in the ears, neck pain and teeth grinding are the most common TMJ symptoms.

If these are symptoms you are experiencing, it is important to contact us so we can properly asses the condition and recommend the correct TMJ treatment for you.

We are accepting the Government of Canada Canadian Dental Insurance Plan (CDCP). The CDCP is a new Canadian Dental Care Plan where individuals that do not have access to an employer provided or private dental insurance plan can apply for. As an important part of dental care and overall health, the Government of Canada recognizes the expenses that can be associated with dental treatment and is committed to helping Canadians receive the dental treatments that are required while also making it more affordable.

The CDCP is offered to help low income families who do not have dental insurance by covering some costs associated with dental services for families with net income that is under $90,000.
